Knobelsdorff Secures 2025 Diamond Level STEP Award for Safety Excellence

(Goodhue, Minnesota) July 25, 2025 — For the seventh consecutive year, Knobelsdorff (KE) has been honored with the Diamond Level Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) Award by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). The Diamond level is the highest safety recognition in the STEP program, showcasing KE's ongoing commitment to protecting its people.

To qualify for STEP Diamond, recipients must maintain safety performance significantly better than the national industry average. In 2024, KE achieved an exceptional Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) of 0.00, bringing its three-year average to 0.36—far below the U.S. industry benchmark of 1.6. KE also recorded zero DART incidents, lost workday cases, and fatalities for three consecutive years.
