The Situation

Harrison Poultry produces roughly 315,000,000 live pounds of chicken per year. KE worked with the poultry producer on a new build for a feed mill facility in Bethlehem, GA. In the past, Harrison had worked with a local supplier, but this job was beyond their capabilities. As a result, Harrison Poultry reached out to Knobelsdorff. They liked our unique approach to design and construction and selected us for the job.

The Solution

The project included electrical, rail receiving, storage, batching, pelleting, loadout and more. Our responsibilities included:

  • Design, build, engineering, procurement and construction
  • 480-volt power distribution
  • Industrial ethernet network
  • Process controls system install
  • Facility lighting

The Result

The new feed mill provides more than just a new facility. It gives Harrison Poultry a way to achieve safer operations, compliance, and focus on operations. KE demonstrated its ability to build large projects anywhere in the country, with a smooth start up and commissioning.
