Knobelsdorff Expands Operations with New Illinois Office
Goodhue, Minnesota - March 11, 2025 - Knobelsdorff (KE), a leader in automation, electric, energy and power services, is proud to announce the expansion into Illinois with a new office in Oglesby. With an already growing presence in Illinois and a rise in industry demand in this region, this expansion brings KE's services closer to clients to provide more timely response and localized support. This new 80,000 square foot facility will serve as a centralized hub for all four of KE's divisions, housing office spaces, warehouse and equipment storage and more. The facility is set to open in late spring 2025, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to be announced at a later date.
"Expanding into Illinois allows us to strengthen our relationships with current clients while building new opportunities to deliver high-quality solutions throughout the region," said Karl von Knobelsdorff, CEO. "We are excited to continue delivering exceptional results for our new and existing clients in Illinois and build relationships with the surrounding communities."
Expanding Community Relationships
The expansion into Illinois not only leads to greater response times and improved customer relationships, but also strengthens ties with local communities. KE is excited to launch Operation Trades Awareness (OTA) to surrounding school districts, an initiative focused on promoting careers in the trades to younger generations. The launch will begin in spring 2025 with kindergarten and graduating senior classes at three local school districts. As the program develops, OTA will expand to include other schools, grade levels and activities.
Creating Rewarding Careers
A new office brings numerous opportunities for those seeking rewarding careers. KE is dedicated to building a strong Illinois-based team and has already opened hiring for a variety of positions. Roles include project managers, electricians, foremen, installers, office staff and more. This expansion is expected to create over 50 jobs, providing local talent with opportunities to join a growing organization that values teamwork, safety, and professional growth.
