(Goodhue, Minnesota) June 5, 2023 — Knobelsdorff was awarded the 2023 Diamond Level STEP (Safety Training Evaluation Process), the highest level, through Association Builders and Contractors (ABC). This is the sixth year Knobelsdorff (KE) has achieved the Diamond Level STEP.
To qualify for the Diamond Level, award recipients must have a TRIR 50% below the NAICS code average. KE boosts a Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) of 0.72 for 2022 and a three year average of 0.18, well below the national average of 1.8 for 2022 and three year national average of 2.00.

The Diamond STEP Award recipients are rated on safety processes and policies through 25 key components with the goal of implementing or enhancing safety programs that reduce jobsite incidents. The key components include Leadership Commitment, Culture, Process and Results. Rating of the award range from Diamond (the highest), to Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Participant.
